Vice-President, Online Advertising Sales (VP-Sales)   Top

Opportunity

123Greetings.com, Inc. is in the process of expanding its Internet advertising business. As the VP-Sales, one needs to have significant experience with the passion, motivation and entrepreneurial spirit to make 123Greetings.com a sought after destination for advertisers. We are looking for an expert strategist to define our advertising strategies, ad packages, inventory and pricing, while building significant new revenue streams. This position is based in New York, USA.

Responsibilities

  1. Definition of advertising inventory, packages and pricing.
  2. Personal development of large (six-figure) advertising partnerships.
  3. Creation and management of an effective Internet ad-sales and account-management team.
  4. Achievement of aggressive one and three year revenue goals and advertising partner growth.
The Vice President, Online Advertising Sales will report directly to the Co-founders and will be responsible for the successful growth of the Internet Advertising business.

Qualifications:
  • Significant Internet Advertising Experience
    You need 6-8 years of online media and Internet advertising (banners, buttons, sponsorship, e-mail) sales experience. You must be comfortable in selling inventory under a variety of terms like CPM, CPC, CPA to maximize advertising revenue.
  • Seasoned Internet Advertising Salesperson and Manager
    You must hit the ground running by prospecting sales leads and developing new, large-scale accounts. Experience with both agency and client-direct sales preferred. You must leverage a consultative sales process, customize solutions to fit client needs, and then manage creative negotiations process with sales accounts. Ideally you should have experience in developing and managing ad sales and account management teams to support customer and revenue growth.
  • Deep Rolodex & Client Network
    You have to bring established client contacts and relationships that will accelerate revenue growth. You should have the experience of managing current advertising partnerships as well as develop and maintain new partnerships. Established relationships and contacts with online women audience networks, gifting channels and movie networks preferred.
  • Results, Results, Results
    You should have proven track record in advertising sales. You must show the ability to execute and exceed aggressive sales metrics, delivering significant advertising revenue and customer growth. Ideal candidates have successfully driven results at comparable, high growth Internet publishers.
  • Pace and Growth
    You should have the experience of working in a fast-paced and high growth environment where you been seasoned in scaling a company through fast growth to greater maturity at various stages of company growth start-up, IPO, and public company. Handling fast changes, quick decisions and uncertainty should be your forte.
  • Education
    BA / BS or its equivalent is required. MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.

The Sales Manager will develop, implement, and manage advertising strategies of 123Greetings.com on a daily basis by utilizing the website in order to generate revenue. Under the supervision of the VP-Sales s/he will plan budget and projections by determining pricing and promotion of online advertising opportunities. 123Greetings.com is looking for expert negotiators to translate our advertising strategies, ad packages, into successful revenue models. This position is based in New York, USA.

Responsibilities

  1. Sales growth from new/ existing accounts
  2. Account Management of large agency clients and corporations.
  3. Maintaining records and databases.
  4. Achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly targets.
  5. Definition of advertising inventory, packages and pricing.
  6. Personal development of advertising partnerships.
S/he will report directly to the Vice-President, Online Advertising Sales and will be responsible for the accelerating the growth of the Internet Advertising of 123Greetings.com.

Qualifications:

  • Adaptable to change
    You should have the experience of working in a fast-paced and high growth environment. Handling fast changes, quick decisions and uncertainty should be your forte.
  • Education
